Made landfall - Lanzarote!

A little after midnight last night we dropped the hook in an anchorage on the north western tip of Lanzarote (after a tangled anchor chain incident with another yacht, but that’s a different story). Woke to sunrise over a dramatic moonscape and a stiff breeze singing through Blue Pepper’s rigging. Today we will sail down the east coast of the island to our destination here of Porto Carmen, but not until we’ve had a bacon sandwich!
